Governor Stitt's pick to command the Oklahoma National Guard says he will not enforce the COVID vaccine mandate. The Oklahoman reports Army Brigadier General Thomas Mancino wrote in a memo that guard members who do not get vaccinated will not face disciplinary or legal action. A spokesperson says the memo will allow guardsmen to serve unvaccinated in Oklahoma without fear of punishment, but noted that it does not apply to any activity run by the federal government. Mancino's appointment must still be approved by the state Senate.
