Five of the six Oklahoma City Public Schools teachers fired for allegedly violating the district's mask mandate are planning to take legal action. The OKCPS Board of Education voted to terminate the teachers' employment on Wednesday by a unanimous vote. Attorney Blake Sonne claims OKCPS did not treat the teachers fairly by putting them on leave, and alleges the district "intentionally violated state law" by requiring face coverings. OKCPS has been given a temporary injunction to keep their policy in place while the law prohibiting mask mandates is challenged in court.
