Governor Stitt says he is requesting a full audit into the Oklahoma State Department of Education following an investigation into EPIC Charter Schools. An audit of EPIC last year found evidence of misuse of funds, with the state demanding the school system pay back more than eleven-million-dollars in payroll overages and administration costs. According to KFOR, the governor's office demands identification of all revenue sources flowing into the Education Department through federal and state funds, along with taxes and fees. State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister blasted the audit, calling it an "attack on Oklahoma's public education system."
