A man convicted of driving into a group of high school runners, killing three of them, will spend the rest of his life in prison. Max Townsend was given three consecutive life sentences for running over members of the Moore High School cross country team in February 2020. The crash killed Yuridia Martinez, Rachel Freeman, and Kolby Krum, and injured four others. Prosecutors said there was alcohol and THC in Townsend's system at the time of the wreck.
