Oklahoma Supreme Court Rules Against Medicaid Privatization Plan

The Oklahoma Supreme Court is ruling against Governor Kevin Stitt's plan to privatize the state's Medicaid program. The court ruled in favor of the medical associations that challenged the constitutionality of the plan to outsource management of Oklahoma's Medicaid program to for-profit companies. Those companies were awarded 2.2 billion dollars in contracts. According to the court, the state went beyond its authority by implementing the SoonerSelect program.
