Edmond police recently arrested a couple on child neglect charges. Officials said an eight-year-old boy in the care of Akemi Cox and Valerio Garcia weighed only thirty pounds in February, and wore a clothing size meant for toddlers. KFOR reports the child's doctor said the neglect was "possibly shocking and heinous." Authorities said the child is doing well now and has gained weight.
