Man Convicted Of Beheading A Woman Has Appeal Denied

A man convicted of beheading of a co-worker will remain on death row. The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals denied a petition from Alton Nolen to be spared the death penalty for the 2014 murder of Colleen Hufford. Nolen's attorney claimed that his client was incompetent to stand trial due to mental illness. Officials said Nolen was suspended from his job for threatening co-workers shortly before the attack.
