An Oklahoma City police officer and a suspect were shot during an exchange of gunfire on Saturday. The officer was called to a home near Northeast 50th and MLK, where officials say he was shot by the suspect while walking to the door. The officer was shot in the chest and hand but was wearing a bulletproof vest. Authorities say the officer then returned fire, striking the suspect twice in his lower body. Both the officer and suspect were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect's identity is not known at this time.
