State health officials reported 6,487 new cases of COVID-19 in Oklahoma yesterday. State Health Commissioner Doctor Lance Frye said the increase in cases is due in part to a decrease in testing and an inconsistent reporting schedule during the holidays. There are now 331,362 confirmed cases of the virus in the state, including more than 285 thousand recoveries. The Department of Health announced 23 additional deaths, bringing the toll up to 2,761.
