A man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in The Village on Saturday. Police were called to escort a woman picking up items at a home near Penn and Britton that she shared with a male partner. Authorities say an altercation happened between the man and an officer, leading to the officer fatally shooting him. The details of the altercation have not been released.
