Oklahoma City is continuing to work towards reestablishing a Human Rights Commission. Mayor David Holt has named City Councilwoman Nikki Nice, Maurianna Adams and Dr. Quintin Hughes Senior as co-chairs of a task force that will work to propose formal framework to reinstate the commission. The city's previous Human Rights Commission provided guidance to local officials on civil rights and discrimination issues before it was dissolved in 1996.
