A suspected car thief led authorities on a high-speed, 80-mile pursuit late Monday night, law enforcement officials said.
It started about 10:50 p.m., during an attempted traffic stop near Paoli and accelerated to nearly 100 mph as the suspect driving a car allegedly stolen near Oklahoma City wound through Pauls Valley, Wynnewood and Marlow.
The chase came to an end after a trooper disabled the car north of Chickasha.
Authorities booked Kenneth Allen Wheeler, 32, into the Garvin County jail on complaints of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and eluding a police officer.
