Pumpkin spice has been the taste of fall ever since Starbucks debuted their iconic latte in 2003.
Since then, the PSL obsession has birthed a dozens of pumpkin spice products, including beer, cereal, candies, deodorant, candles, hummus, butter, dog treats ... the list goes on and on. Basically, if you can dream it, you can pumpkin spice it.
It's not surprising that several local businesses have jumped on this fall trend and are serving up their own pumpkin creations. So if you're looking for something outside of Starbuck's famous latte, try out these local businesses in Oklahoma City:
This macaron shop hasn't unveiled its October flavors, but expect something pumpkin. Cafe Disco recently had a special event where it served up pumpkin spice macaron ice cream sandwiches and pumpkin spice affogatos. Hopefully, those will make another appearance next month.
The downtown OKC cafe recently revealed that their seasonal specials are pumpkin spice lattes and maple rosemary lattes.
Roxy's has not one, but two pumpkin ice creams. One is a pumpkin spice ice cream while the second is a dairy-free, vegan pumpkin cider. If you can't pick, get a scoop of both!
If this Edmond shop doesn't tempt you with their gelato, their pastries are too good to pass up. For the fall, Dolci Paradiso will have pumpkin spice cookies and apple pie cheesecakes.
If you want a unique treat from one of the best bakeries in OKC, try Apple Tree Chocolate's pumpkin spice caramel apples. They'll also have other specialty treats to get you ready for Halloween.
