Working in law enforcement can be dangerous, but most officers never expect to get hit by a rogue bird.

Unfortunately, that's what happened to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Tony Harper.

Harper was driving on SH 33 West in Cushing when something suddenly smacked into his windshield. According to OHP's Facebook page, the trooper said it sounded like a gun went off in his patrol vehicle.

No shots were fired, but the noise was caused by a vulture crashing through the windshield. Once Harper was able to get his car safely to the side of the road, he found feathers and broken glass all over the front passenger seat.

Harper was fine, but the same couldn't be said for the vulture.
