And Now Their Watch Is Ended: Bookies Bet Big on This GoT Character Dying

Have you been watching the final season for HBO's 'Game of Thrones?' Going by the ratings, it's safe to say the answer is 'yes.'

After eight seasons, the fantasy epic is about to wrap up the story and fans are on edge to learn who lives and who dies playing the 'Game of Thrones'. According to SportsBetting.ag (an online gambling site that takes action on all sorts of bets), people are betting big on Jaime "Kingslayer" Lannister being the first major character to perish in the final season.

The cyber-gambling site is giving 5/1 odds that Jaime Lannister will be the first one to perish this season - that's a big difference from where Jaime began the season (50/1 odds).

People are also betting on Arya (2/1) being the one who kills Jaime and knocks him out of the 'Game of Thrones.' It isn't just Arya gunning for Jaime - the Night King and his army of Undead are heading for Winterfell in the next episode which promises to be the longest of the series at 82 minutes. That's not to mention Jaime's sister Cersei, taking out a hit on her brother.

The betting site also shows Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons, as the odds-on favorite to win the Iron Throne by the end of the series. Of course, that means she'll have to deal with Jon Snow's recent bombshell he laid on her at the end of the episode (no spoilers, but let's just say secrets are having a hard time staying secret in Winterfell these days).

The intrigue and action in Westeros continues Sunday, so, if you're need of a recap on the first few seasons, check out our recap article here.
