Museum Construction Resumes

Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt says construction has officially resumed on the American Indian Cultural Center and Museum in Oklahoma City. He tweeted out Thursday that the facility is set to open in two years and will be at a Smithsonian-level of quality. Construction was halted in 2012 when state funding ran out. Last year the City of Oklahoma City and the Chickasaw Nation signed agreements to complete and operate the museum. Holt says it will be a special museum and a fitting place to celebrate and learn about the first people who called Oklahoma home.(photo courtesy Mayor David Holt)
