Actress Sues Production Company After Disfiguring On-Set Injury

20-year-old actress Taylor Hickson is an up and coming actress who has appeared in Deadpool and Everything, Everything, but recently she was injured on the set of her latest film and she's now suing the company making it.

Taylor was filming the indie horror flick Ghostland when the director asked her to pound really hard on a glass pane of a door in an emotionally charged scene. She expressed concern but the director assured her it was safe.

The glass wound up shattering and her head and upper body went through the door and into shards that cut her so badly she needed 70 stitches to close her wounds. She was left with a permanent scar on her face.

She alleges that the injury caused her to lose income since she couldn't act while she was healing, and, according to the lawsuit, it's also caused her "mass amounts of insecurity." She said she is "conflicted, confused, hurt, angry, and sad that this was my last day on set and no precautions were taken."

Thankfully laser treatments and silicone treatments have helped Taylor's face.

Meanwhile, the artwork the film chose for their posters is interesting in the wake of Taylor's injury:

Ghostland has a premiere party next week in Paris but Hickson won't be there. She told Deadline, "I never worked so hard on a production in my life, and now it’s a bittersweet way to end this piece of art that we worked so hard on."
