The rematch is set between boxers Gennady "Triple-G' Golovkin and Saúl "Canelo" Alvarez. The pair will fight again on Cinco de Mayo or May 5th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. "Triple-G" and "Canelo" battled to a controversial split draw last September, and Golovkin retained his middleweight title. He's 37-0-and-1 with 33 knockouts, while "Canelo" enters with a record of 49-1-and-2 with 34 knockouts. The Cinco De Mayo date is a Mexican holiday and historically a big boxing weekend. The last bout between the two in September generated a gate of over $27,000,000, which is the third-most in boxing history.
A press conference takes place Tuesday in Los Angeles and tickets go on sale that day as well.
