The criminal case against State School Superintendent Joy Hofmeister has been dismissed. Felony charges were filed last November against Hofmeister, her political strategist Fount Holland, and three other defendants for allegedly conspiring to break campaign fundraising laws. A dismissal was filed early Tuesday in Oklahoma County District Court. Hofmeister held a news conference to address the dismissal of the charges. "For nine months, I have had to conduct my life in the shadow of unjust and untrue accusations," she said. "But I knew the truth. I knew I was innocent."
