The Oklahoma Department of Corrections is seeing a huge turnover in employees, according to state Senator Roger Thompson, of Okemah.
He said a raise for all D.O.C. employees is in order.
"To give you an idea, right now an agency switchboard operator works for twenty-thousand dollars a year," Thompson said.
His bill to give all D.O.C. employees a five percent raise passed in a committee on Wednesday and is now headed to the Senate floor.
