As hard and heart breaking as it is to watch; and as on guard for 4th and 5th amendment violations as I am; based solely on the video; it appears the police did everything they were supposed to.

The woman admitted there had been domestic violence.  The police explained the man had become combative and why he was being detained.  At no time did he prevent her from recording, and explained clearly what he needed from her.  It is the job of the police to diffuse and neutralize combative situations.  Unless the cause of death comes back blunt force asphyxiation it appears they acted accordingly.
