Governor Fallin Calls Special Session

Governor Mary Fallin on Friday issued an executive order calling for a special session of the Oklahoma Legislature to convene Monday, September 25th. Fallin is recommending five subjects for the Legislature to consider including addressing the immediate budget shortfall, addressing future shortfalls, addressing the need for more consolidation in state government, clarifying that the trucing industry is exempt from the new vehicle tax, and a pay increase for K-12 public school teachers.
