Accused of creating a hostile work environment, Edmond Fire Chief Jake Rhoades has resigned. City Manager Larry Stevens announced in a statement that Rhoades has submitted his resignation effective Monday, August 4. He has served as fire chief since November of 2012. He says a national search will begin soon for a replacement. Battalion Chief Doug Hall, who was appointed Acting Fire Chief on July 16, will serve as Interim Fire Chief until a replacement is named.
